Hi, I’m Lisa.

I believe everyone is capable of change. Change is a process, and it is not always an easy or a straight path. I believe it starts by knowing more about yourself so you can make the changes you want, and it can be useful to have a guide along the way. I will support you in your journey as someone who listens deeply and who cares about what has brought you to therapy and where you want to go.

If you are feeling stuck, anxious, or unclear, I want to guide you to better understand what’s keeping you from moving forward.

With years of corporate experience working with a diverse group of clients across multiple industries, I’ve honed my skills as an active listener. As a therapist, I use that ability, in addition to my empathy and training, to help you reach your goals. I will work collaboratively with you to identify and understand the parts of or relationships in your life that need attention.  My style is supportive, engaging and direct.

Together we will find the way for you to find what brings you a sense of purpose, meaning and joy.

Who I help

I work with adults and couples. Whether it is changes in how you and your partner communicate, improving your connection and behaviors with your family, or working on yourself, I welcome it all.  Areas I work with include: anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, performance anxiety, life transitions, male isolation, communication skills,   premarital couples counseling, infidelity and adult sibling relationships.

Sessions are offered in person in Ridgefield, CT or online throughout CT and NY.

About Me

My story is about making change. Like many people, I realized I was ready for a career change during the pandemic.  I wanted to help individuals and families make the changes they needed in their lives. I left my corporate job of 17 years at American Express to go back to graduate school for my second master’s degree and pursue a long-held passion to become a marriage and family therapist. I knew the commitment to go back to graduate school was going to be challenging, but it has also been incredibly fulfilling.

My clients describe me as a therapist who creates a comfortable and smooth approach which allows the therapeutic process to flow in a calm yet effective way.  Starting therapy can be worrisome and possibly feel a bit uncomfortable, but I will be there to guide you each step of the way.

In addition to seeing clients at Conklin Therapy Collective, I see clients at Catholic Charities New Outlook Counseling of Fairfield County and at The Koslow Center at Fairfield University.  I feel honored to sit with couples and individuals working through complicated challenges and to be part of their healing process.

Like most of us, I have had my own share of challenges. One thing that has helped me grow emotionally and physically is training for and running marathons. Through endurance running I have learned a lot about using focus and grit to get across the finish line. I know running marathons isn’t for everyone, but whatever your goal is I can help you find your motivation to overcome obstacles and bring about positive change.  I love to work with people when they learn how to get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.  When you grow and shift energy towards what is meaningful to you, it opens up possibilities allowing you to create your new story.  Change takes time and I will be here to guide you. Whether you have feelings of being stuck, are worried you are in the wrong relationship, or need help overcoming your past - you don’t need to face it alone.  I believe everyone is capable of change and it is the choices we make that help us thrive. I look forward to meeting you and helping you find what makes you thrive.
